Post-Care Guide for Your Brow Tattoo
Proper aftercare is crucial to ensure the best possible results from your Brow Tattoo.
AFTERCARE FOR YOUR BROW TATTOO

IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE PROCEDURE, gently pat the brow area with a dry cotton round every 15 minutes for the next 3 hours. This will keep the area dry and clean and will collect the lymphatic fluids and prevent unwanted buildup.

DAY 2-14, wash the brow area with a gentle cleanser like Cetaphil twice a day and pat dry with a cotton round. Add a very thin layer of the ointment you were provided with when your brows start to feel dry. Make sure to only add a little, as too much ointment could negatively impact your results. Once scabs fall off, ointment is no longer needed. People with very oily skin are not required to add ointment.
THINGS TO AVOID AFTER YOUR BROW TATTOO
Avoid wetting the brow area (other than the cleansing regime that is required) for at least 10 days after the procedure. This includes swimming, gardening, sweating, saunas, jacuzzis, and any activity that causes excessive sweating.

Avoid picking, peeling, or scratching the brow area. You will cause scarring of the area or removal of the pigment if you pick or peel scabs prematurely.
Avoid applying makeup or creams directly to the tattooed area for the first 10 days. Be sure to avoid Retin-A and Glycolic Acid.

Avoid sun exposure or tanning beds for at least two weeks after the procedure. Sunscreen can be used on the brow area once the lymphatic drainage has ceased.
Limit contact with animals.

Avoid activities that may cause excessive sweating, such as strenuous exercise or hot yoga, for at least one week.

Avoid using any harsh products or exfoliants on the tattooed area for at least four weeks after the procedure.

Avoid drinking alcohol in excess, as it may lead to slow healing of wounds.

Avoid touching the eyebrow area except when rinsing and applying the post-care with a cotton round or swab.

Absolutely NO use of any antibiotic creams or gels, or vitamin creams over the brow area — it will draw out the pigment.
Clear aftercare instructions are always provided following your appointment to support proper healing and optimal results. Once you leave the studio, it is your responsibility to follow those instructions carefully and consistently.
Following the recommended post-care steps is essential not only for avoiding complications during the healing process but also for ensuring the best possible long-term outcome of your brow tattoo.
The Healing Stages of Brow Tattoos: What to Expect

The healing process typically lasts 4-8 weeks, requiring extra caution with your brows. As the procedure delicately implants tiny pigment dots, creating a soft and smooth shading effect without harsh edges, your brows may appear slightly swollen and darker immediately following the treatment.

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING THE BROW HEALING PROCESS
DAY 1:
Your brows will look bold, dark, and sharply defined, which is normal and part of the healing process, you may experience “brow shock,” where the pigment appears more intense than expected, this usually lasts a few days before the color softens and the natural shape emerges.
Mild redness, tenderness, or tightness may occur but typically subsides within hours, it’s common to see some lymphatic fluid during the first day, please blot gently every 15 minutes for the next 3 hours, be sure to follow the provided aftercare instructions to support healing and long-term results.
Remember, the initial intensity will soften significantly as your skin heals, so trust the process, you’re just beginning your brow transformation.

DAY 2-4:
Brows will still look dark and may even appear bolder than before, which can lead to doubt or second-guessing like, “Did I go too dark?” or “Will they stay this way?” It’s completely normal to feel unsure during this phase, remember, the intense, freshly-done look will soften significantly as your skin heals, so trust the process, you’re just at the very beginning of your brow transformation.

DAY 5-7:
Scabbing begins during this stage, and you might feel uncomfortable or even a little grossed out, flaking can make your brows look uneven or patchy, which can be frustrating or embarrassing, but this is completely normal.
Stay strong and trust the process, this is a turning point in your healing, it’s very important not to pick or peel the scabs, as doing so can affect your final results.

DAY 8-14:
As more scabs fall away, brows may seem faded, thin, or patchy. This is the "ghosting" phase , the pigment is hiding under the healing skin. Emotionally, this is often the hardest stage. You may feel worried, regretful, or anxious about whether it "worked." But this is completely normal.

DAY 15-30:
Brows are still very light, and you may feel like they've disappeared altogether. This can feel discouraging or even disappointing. But beneath the surface, your skin is still healing and the pigment is working its way back. Hold tight.

DAY 31-60:
You’ve successfully made it through the healing process, and now it’s time to perfect your look. Permanent makeup is a two-step process: the first session lays down the pigment, and the touch-up appointment, usually 6 to 8 weeks later, is essential for refining color and shape. Because everyone’s skin heals differently, the touch-up allows us to fill in any patchy or faded areas and make adjustments to ensure your brows are symmetrical and exactly how you want them.
